Fallout 3 was my favorite Bugthedsa game, I also like TES:IV.
I have played all the games on that list, I would say the only similarity between any of them is either a) They are set in a post-apococolyptic setting b) They are RPG's C) They have over the top weapons. The Fallout series is fairly unique, in a way its a shame their no first party alternatives from MS or Sony to give Bugthedsa a run for their money.

My friend its Bethesda....

Linsolv4713d ago

It's a joke, vgopal.

It's a pun based on Bethesda's reputation for releasing games that don't work as intended at launch.

vgopal4713d ago

Sorry I don't know It's was a joke, thanks Linsolv

Foxgod4714d ago

Ugh, Mass effect is the only rpg on the list, the rest are shooters, so they play different.

WarThunder4713d ago (Edited 4713d ago )

S.T.A.L.K.E.R is more RPG than Mass effect.... infact ME is not RPG its a generic shooter with some minor rpg elements.

oof464713d ago

Well, the first Mass Effect was more RPG than shooter. 2 and 3 were more shooter than RPG.

Foxgod4713d ago (Edited 4713d ago )

Stalker is an open world shooter, like Rage, i played it, and finished them, same for all 3 mass effects.
And they wherent my first rpg's, i finisher more then 300 rpg's, both J and W

(In response to your comment below; easier for you to see if I comment here)

STALKER is the only game on this list that fits fairly. It is a shooter, but in many ways it's fairly similar to FO3, especially since first person is the assumed default of Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Foxgod4713d ago (Edited 4713d ago )

Stalker plays exactly like Chrome and Rage.
Play those if you dont believe me, all three of them are open world shooters that rely on an inventory.

Fallout 3 is basically elder scrolls with guns, obviously as both are from the same creator.
Mass effect plays exactly like Star Wars Kotor and dragon age, only it doesnt have light sabers or swords, also obviously, as bioware created them all.

Linsolv4713d ago

I have played RAGE. It's boring. It's a linear shooter pretending to be open-world, with a driving minigame tacked onto it and then used to make the in-between bits take longer as opposed to just loading the next goddamn level when I'm done.

Chrome? I have not played.

KaBaW4713d ago

Mass Effect plays 'exactly' like Kotor? .. what?
Mass Effect plays nothing like Mass Effect or Dragon Age.
Dragon Age and Kotor, on the other hand.. play similar.

Fallout is Fallout, which is why I love it. Nowhere else are you going to get a 40's/50's-centric future post apocalyptic RPG, that's just the way it is. The article seems to make the connection that if it has guns=like F3.

vgopal4713d ago

Yep Fallout is Fallout the title should have been "closest games like Fallout 3"

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee73d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
