F yeah! Hopefully they're actually going to make it and aren't just snatching up domains just in case.

I read that Microsoft are to show it at E3 next week, time will tell.

I loved the original however never finished it as, if I played it for more than 15-20 minutes I would get terrible motion sickness, same thing used to happen playing unreal tournament 2004 on the PC years back, I think its due to the fast paced gameplay.

Good news on a slow news day :)

Freaking looovvveeed the first game...

:D

Oh.. i still listen to "Still Alive" today..

toxic-inferno4777d ago

So excited right now. Based on what they managed to achieve in the first game, this has the potential to be a particularly memorable game.

mike32UK4777d ago

Could not agree more! Can't wait to see what this looks like on next gen systems! This was the first game that anyone ever said to me while I was playing "what is this that you are watching"? The art style was fantastic

CandyFace4777d ago

Yes finally! i have waited so long for a sequel ^^
E3 give me something.

tigertron4777d ago

I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.

Excited because Mirror's Edge is one of my favourite games and nervous because EA could screw it all up.

NarooN4777d ago

Exactly. I've been waiting on a sequel ever since the first one came out, I've still got the game -- it's one of the few that I didn't sell off at gamestop -- but EA could easily screw this game up. Hope DICE doesn't annihilate the game. More free-running moments where we can build up and speed and move quickly, less lame in-door puzzle segments that slow everything down.

stage884777d ago

Unfortunately I think MS may have money hatted this as an exclusive.
Shame on you EA.

tigertron4777d ago

Unlikely as EA aren't ones for exclusives. At most the Xbox One will have timed-exclusive DLC.

toxic-inferno4777d ago

If the DLC is as good as the DLC from Mirror's Edge, I wouldn't be too worried... While those maps were interesting, they weren't anything worth having exclusivity on.

starchild4777d ago

Very improbable. But if they did, Microsoft can go fck themselves. Taking a franchise that many of us enjoyed on other platforms and suddenly making it exclusive to one console would be pathetic.

I love Mirror's Edge and I hope to be able to play the sequel.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

badz149114d ago

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee126d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator160d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

rlow1160d ago

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
