EVE Online I Played basic training, uninstalled and ran away

It’s a long running joke that the ‘learning curve’ to Eve Online is rather more like a sheer cliff face. After trying to play EVE after years away, things certainly didn't go to plan...

Bad Editing
Best way to solve the "I" and "we" issue is to add a first line in teaser, "Joe Blow writes:" so that the the entire body is attributed. Remove the "I" from hed.

Bad Editing
When copying text from the source article make sure you read over the text and edit it if necessary. A good example is when a site writes "We" or "I" , as this should then be replaced with the site's or person's name, or you can quote the source. Even if you are the author.

I get the learning curve is beyond extreme. But that depth is why it's been out ten years and is still growing. Most games would at least be fading if not gone. If they made it easier they would get more players, but would lose the type of player that will be hooked for 10 plus years. The trade off is not worth it.

I tried EVE a month or two ago. I ne'er took up my chance to try the beta test but had seen mates become addicted to it over the years but I was always busy playing something else. Curiosity finally got the better of me but I was just overwhelmed with small pop up menu's crammed with information. I'm not a lazy gamer or a stupid one, I regularly play flight sims and RTS games but the learning curve was so great I felt I could not give it the time needed.

I know so many people who have done the same. I did it after being away for 3 years. CCP are just such a dedicated developer which is why I have high hopes for DUST514.

The game is brilliant but its not for me.
I dont have so much spare time to throw away in my life.

Nevertheless, RESPECT for ccp in making a pretty deep game.
