Me too. I remember putting a lot of hours into it before it went free to play. After, it went f2p, I didn't play it near as much, but it makes me nostalgic.
I liked the show and picked up a sealed collectors edition of the 360 game for $5 at a thrift store a couple years ago.
It had a good run honestly, way better than it had any business being, especially for it to be part of a tv series

The gaming industry, like any industry really, is a cruel mistress. We witness this cold reality yet again when we see the studio Trion Worlds, which was behind Rift, Trove and Archeage, having to cut over 150 workers today.
Tough to say yet. There has to be time for the show and game to interact. I think it will be awhile before the title's question can be answered, but who knows how long the game and show will get to prove themselves?
