Oh dear god... Yes... I absolutely loved Flashback! I cannot wait for this!

fermcr4781d ago

Yep. Just just became one of my most expected games for this year.

somebody is mining my dreams for ideas, first a 2D Batman(Batrovidania ;p) and now this. so 60's Spidr-man 2D could happen.

Ubisoft must bring this to the PSV.

This and Out of this World changed gaming. Nice to see it coming back.

It was called Another World here in the UK.
I loved the tune at the end when the dragon is flying away.

It looks like it's lost all it's charm :(

An amazing game on the Amiga back in the day with some of best animation I've ever seen.

Color me intrigued over this announcement.

Well when I fire up my snes version a little 'made by Sony computer entertainment' screen flashes up before the intro vid. Wouldn't that stop it from going to Xbox live ? Unless of course they don't own the ip. Top game though I agree, at the time it was a cut above all other games. Hard as nails too, finding the key cards can be a nightmare lols

Are you thinking of Fade To Black which was on the PS1?

I have zero faith in the execution after how bad that remake was.

Doesnt need a sequel.

Snookies121835d ago

I was so excited for the remake too... I loved the original so much. Maybe they can prove us wrong, but after the remake I don't have any real expectations for this either.

MadLad1835d ago

Yeah.
Highly doubt they're going to catch lightning in a bottle twice.
It was very much a product of it's time. Unless they have some real talent, we're going to end up with a disappointing, needless sequel.

Flashback Mobile Review: Hardcore Droid

An award-winning action-adventure game, developed by Paul Cuisset in 1992, Flashback holds a Guinness record and is one of the first games to use rotoscope technology for realistic animations. In it, you travel the universe in the year 2142 with amnesia stricken protagonist Conrad while he dives headlong into an insidious alien plot. This game will no doubt prove a time capsule of memories for some and nothing can ruin that. However, for those of you who have never played the original, Flashback Mobile offers a somewhat different experience.

This game was cutting edge on debut. I want to think I may have had this on 3DO, can’t remember. Maybe SegaCD.
