EA censors its own support number on its forums

If nobody calls, it must mean nobody has any complaints!

"EA's SimCity saga has provided no shortage of comedy. Maxis general manager Lucy Bradshaw just yesterday proudly announced that the company is "hearing from thousands of people who are playing across regions, trading, communicating and loving the Always-Connected functionality." Surely EA must be receiving a mountain of complaints as well, unless it somehow found a way to prevent customers from even contacting the support team. Hmmm..."

So "EA" is actually short for "evasive actions" who knew?.

konnerbllb4811d ago (Edited 4811d ago )

I bet they will win worst company of the year again.

The nomination period has ended on the 12th but public voting starts in two days March 19th. There's no way EA is going to surrender the crown.

EA wants an award so bad. They must like being nominated for worst company.

Time to grab some popcorn, folks! Can't wait to see what karma has to say about this!

Bimkoblerutso4812d ago

It's going to say "you sure are an asshole, EA, but by golly have another hundred mill on the house."

Sad, but....gotta keep it real.

XXXL4812d ago

LOL. Man EA is a joke. They should buy Gearbox and re-release Colonial Marines now with micro transactions! Its what us gamers have clamored for!

adorie4812d ago

Make it online only and that would be...delightful.

Root4812d ago

Can't wait for them to somehow mess Battlefield 4 up....they'll find a way

Snookies124812d ago

Origin. It's the reason I never bought BF3 on PC, despite it being much better in quite a few ways.

Cam9774812d ago

"Quite a few"
More like in every way! I wish I had a PC to play it and not a ps3.

2pacalypsenow4812d ago

I never had any problem on the pc version i have both the Xbox and pc version only thing that blows is using a browser to launch the game

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee81d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator115d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
