How are the originals? I really need to play them.

They were incredible back in the day. I had so much fun with the trilogy on PS2. Multiplayer was incredible.

Yeah, no it won't... They clearly don't have permission from Plaion, THQ Nordic, or Embracer to legally use the lgog they stole, the IP name, or any ofhte in-game assets, maps, and designs they also stole/ripped off. As soon as the legal department see's they're planning on 'releasing' this game created around stolen assets, they'll be shut down instantly.

Why do people still continue to rip-off established IP they have no rights to? Create a new experience influenced by the IP, with original designs and a new non-copywritten name, and release that - at least it may actually see the light of day in that instance.

Valid point. However it’s derivative art, not a product being sold and not related to an actively retailed IP that this free mod project would impact in any fashion. Why not let fans have fun instead of sticking up for the mega-corp conglomerates that absorbed the now dead IP?

There's so many great fan games and mods out there. You're missing out.

don't be such a Corpo Shill. have some fun

No shot! I seriously thought this was dead. Hadn't heard anything about it in ages, lol. Super excited if this is actually happening!

SpacedDuck222d ago

Shame it looks absolutely nothing like TimeSplitters.

Killer2020UK222d ago

Really? I thought it captured quite a lot of the TimeSplitters characteristics

SpacedDuck222d ago

I mean there are small similarities with the HUD and character design but it looks more like TimeSplitters using Counterstrike models than what the game looked like on PS2/XBOX.

One thing I always loved was how they kept it looking like GE007/PD.

How about a title change? "Timesplitters: Time to Let it Go"

Now you won't have to miss them. I do agree though, some of the best multi-player I've experienced back in the day. Just below Perfect Dark and Goldeneye. Here's hoping at some point they can include the amazing map editor that used to be in the games!

I sure hope that it's good. Definitely pc or laptop just to replay these again
