Revenant Wings made significant, brave changes to the Final Fantasy formula and it's for that reason that it should be reintroduced to the fanbase.
Square couldn't be bothered remaking the DS KH games for the collections so it's safe to say they won't bother with this game ever again
They ported The World Ends With You to two other devices so there’s always a possibility even if it’s small
I love how we never got a nice little sequel/prequel for VIII or IX but somehow XII and XIII did...boggles my mind
Maybe Square didn't deem them good enough to have a continuation? Also, wasn't XIII planned as a 3 part series from the beginning?

I liked XII, don't get me wrong but if VIII and IX wern't good enough then I don't know how XII was
I think FF13 was planned as one when they wanted to milk the shit out of it after launch, using cut assets
