Another Dead Space 3 Infinite Item Glitch Found

EA must be kicking themselves in the heels, after introducing their microtransaction system, only to have it broken apart by experimental gamers. There’s a platter of glitches and exploits already circulating the web allowing gamers access to infinite resources, thereby making EA’s microtransactions pointless, but here at OnlySP, we believe we’ve found another one.

Good. That's what they get for trying to nickle and dime us.

ziggurcat4854d ago

it's not nickle and diming if you can acquire the items through natural game progression.

what do you care if people want to waste their money to get things earlier than normal? does it affect *your* single player experience? no. are you forced to buy into any of the micro-transactions? no.

so, really... who the **** cares. get over it.

We've all heard their explanations, 'oh no, we're not trying to nickel and dime you dear gamer. We're just giving a helping hand to those noobs who aren't as good at the game as you are. You don't need to worry because you're great at videogames, let the losers who need to buy their way through the game worry about it'. You know, it's actually possible to program an easier difficulty setting into the game without having to charge more money for it.

The amount of items a game provides and when it provides them is a large part of the experience (especially in this kind of game) and can create or alternatively drain the tension and excitement from any scenario. If we allow item placement to be decided by who's willing to pay what additional fees, not only does it ruin the pacing of this game but can you even imagine how far this could go? You think, once companies discover that they can charge us money to make games less annoying in sections they're still going to try and create games that the average gamer will never find unfairly annoying or poorly paced?

If you give a machine that controls the weather to a central heating salesman don't go expecting many sunny days.

i remember when cheats used to be free and you got them from playing the game

DavidMacDougall4854d ago

You not remember cheat discs and havin to buy magazines for them sometimes?

Sp1d3ynut4854d ago

I remember reading the magazines at Barnes and Noble, and writing down the cheat codes I wanted. Does that count?

Tzuno4854d ago

To much time spending to load and save i will pass this i can easily beat the game on normal as it is. I enjoy the game trying to unlock reasonable achievements.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
