GDC '08: GameSpot's Jumpgate Evolution First Impressions

In 2001, NetDevil released Jumpgate: The Reconstruction Initiative, an online space combat game that was generally well regarded by the critics. After stumbling a bit with the failed Auto Assault, NetDevil has gone back to its roots with Jumpgate Evolution. This promises to be a revamped version of the game, with a brand-new graphics engine and all of the lessons learned over the past six years.

No More NetDevil: LEGO Universe studio closes

LEGO Universe developer NetDevil has apparently laid off a large number of staff, with stories already circulating that the company has been closed.

GamePron is still searching for an official statement from NetDevil or parent company Gazillion, but studio founder and former president Scott Brown has called out to his former colleagues via social media.

I played this game in 08 at an event and it looked really cool. Sad state of affairs this :(
