Wayforward has released the first official trailer for Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition for the Wii U. Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition is an HD remake of the popular Nintendo 3DS title Mighty Switch Force!

Ishaan:
WayForward Technologies are bringing their Nintendo 3DS platformer, Mighty Switch Force, to the Wii U as Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition. Today, they shared screenshots of the Wii U version, and we dug up a few screens of the Nintendo 3DS version to compare them to.
Are they going to be the same price? I love this game & looks cool on wii u but id rather have it on the go & in 3D...
Not a bad effort from the 3DS, the biggest difference is the 3rd set of screens.

It's no secret that the Wii U will be getting a ton of eShop titles, with Toki Tori 2, Nano Assault Neo, Cloudberry Kingdom, and Chasing Aurora set to release within the launch window of the system. Now, Nintendo has updated their website with the release date for Mighty Switch Force HD and they have given it a brand new subtitle.
The eShop sounds like it will be a force to be reckoned with. I hope Nintendo does it right and make their eShop similar to Steam.

Destructoid:
According to Nintendo Power, WayForward is planning an HD port of Mighty Switch Force set to launch alongside the Wii U this year. The game will include all the features and updates from the 3DS original (and possibly even more), but the sprites are being completely redrawn to appear a lot closer in style to the concept artwork. As you can see in the header, Mighty Switch Force HD is going to be sexy indeed. I absolutely adored the hand-drawn style of A Boy and His Blob, and to see that level of cartoony quality at a higher resolution will be nothing short of joyous
a sprite based handheld game on a supposed next gen console? really? come on way forward, how bout a NEW game
So slick! I'm buying this!
Ooh they did a great job with the animation. I have yet to beat the 3DS version. I support WayForward all the way for everything they've done, even when things looked grim.
