Unlimited external storage, dont panic it dosent take away from how good the wiiU is gonna be.
I cant wait

Amazingmrbrock4938d ago

The only thing that would worry me about that would be the limited transfer speed of usb 2.0.

Which granted isn't a huge deal by any means, what an extra few seconds of loading here or there.

Neonridr4938d ago

USB 2.0 transfer speed can support up to 35MB/sec which is still 3x the speed of the Xbox 360 DVD drive, and 4X the speed of the Playstation bluray drive.

Rebo004937d ago

The bottleneck is probably gonna be the device writing the data unless its an SSD external drive.

Dasteru4937d ago (Edited 4937d ago )

@Neonridr:

That would depend on your point of view.

Alot of people don't realize that DVD and Blu-ray do not operate at the same bit rate for a given x speed.

The 12x DVD drive in the 360 alternates between 6.5MB/s & 12MB/s

The 2x Blu-ray drive in the PS3 runs at a constant 9MB/s

Every 1x increase in a DVD drive means a maximum increase of 1MB/s but it also dips to nearly half that at random points.

Every 1x increase in Blu-ray is 4.5MB/s with zero variation.

Funny how a lot of folks will completely miss the "Parody" contained directly in the description.

ninjabake4937d ago

I agree it is pathetic but at least you can add storage to it and external hdd's aren't as expensive as they used to be.

Chrono4937d ago

That's the next gen, according to Nintendo.

ChickeyCantor4937d ago

Ah yes, storage space. The breaking point for " next - gen".

I can see why people might find this an inconvenient. Since this is Nintendo we should be happy there is a usb-storage solution. For all we know they wouldn't include it at all.

Theyellowflash304936d ago

Yeah Next generation is dependent on Storage Space that jacks up the price of a system......

Best 2D, Mario World, best 3D, Mario 64. Can't say there's been a bad one, although Mario World 2 wasn't a true sequel. The Mario Land games were good (not the first one) and also Wario Land. I thought after Mario 64, Mario 3D World was excellent.

Interview: Patricia Summersett on voicing Princess Zelda for nearly a decade

Believe it not, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is almost ten years old.
