Starting today, Torchlight II is free at Epic Games Store. The free game offer runs until December 31 at 11 AM Eastern. Once you claim it, it’s yours to keep.
Don't need Epic's crap store to get games for free haha. I can get free games anytime I want ^_^

A number of new deals are up and running on the North American Switch eShop. These include Axiom Verge, Cosmic Star Heroine, Hob: The Definitive Edition, Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition, Torchlight II, and more.
This is a great piece and raises a big question...Why would they release this the same week as Borderlands 2?
All of the marketing efforts put into Borderlands 2 will easily make people remember that it's coming out, while Torchlight 2 will quietly come out and put itself in danger of selling well.
I mean obviously over time, the game will do well but this feels like a missed opportunity and bad timing on their part to come out this week.
The timing is all wrong. They should have released this a month ago, not 2 days after Borderlands 2.
They should have released this in the summer when everyone got fed up with Diablo 3's boring loot.
@NYC_Gamer: Dont agree with that alot of ppl who like traditional dungeon crawlers also like Borderlands including me.
TL2 and BL2 both have different fan bases
It does seem like a very poor time to release but they did have that "Summer 2012" commitment to live up to. And it would only get worse as it gets closer to the end of the year.
They really should have pulled out all the stops to make sure it released in August and I'm afraid the delay will likely cost them some sales until the next drought some time next year, at which time they would be wise to have a Steam sale.
Personally I've had it pre-purchased since June or July and it's already pre-loaded on my PC (which again begs the question why it remains unreleased) so I'll get to it as soon as I have some time.. probably in like February.
