Despite the bitching, I Am Alive has been dated for PC

IncGamers: Ubisoft has confirmed that post-apoc survival game I Am Alive will be released on PC on 13 September.

The PS3/360 edition of the game was released back in April of this year, to mixed reviews.

You may remember that in November of 2011 I Am Alive’s creative director Stanislas Mettra told IncGamers that – following complaints about a lack of a PC version – he wasn’t sure whether PC gamers would actually play it.

His exact words were...

Why bother?the game released with so many flaws.

JohnR5023d ago

i thought it was pretty good

Moby-Royale5023d ago

I agree. I enjoyed the demo.

I remember thinking "I can see why they switched from full retail to downloadable".

That being said it was still fun. I never got around to buying it. I probably will now on one of the platforms.

My procrastination has paid off. I will buy this on PC. I remember liking the demo and then just forgetting about it due to other games/life in general.

And they say that people wanting to play their game are "bitching" for asking for a version on the platform they have?

They speak lowly of the customer as they port a mediocre game to their platform?

That's ridiculous.

"It’s hard because there’s so much piracy and so few people are paying for PC games that we have to precisely weigh it up against the cost of making it."

Nice. You want PC gamers to buy your product after saying the vast majority are criminals? Hmmm, I suddenly lost interest this game, wonder why?

“We’ve heard loud and clear that PC gamers are bitching about there being no version for them”

Wow, just wow. No really, tell us what you really think.

Ducky5023d ago

If only they would open their ears to the DRM bitching too.

aliengmr5023d ago (Edited 5023d ago )

But you would think they would try NOT being a total dick to the people they want to buy their game. They're acting as though PC gamers should feel blessed they even considered the PCs existence.

I'm with you on the DRM.

According to ubisoft logic , this game should be F2P on pc to increase revenue.

tachy0n5023d ago (Edited 5023d ago )

so what if their games become F2P to PC?

TRAINERS FTW!

CrazyInsane5023d ago

No what i mean is that they are contradicting themselves . They just said a couple of days ago that 90% are pirates, but now they announce the game on pc ? Why not make it F2P just like what they said they are investing in ?

LostDjinn5023d ago

"Despite the bitching, I Am Alive has been dated for PC" - What do they mean? It's done? It's over with?

I imagine Ubisofts' bitching has only just begun.

fossilfern5023d ago

There is plenty of pirating on the 360 too. This guy is a crying arsehole

iamlegend99995023d ago

Not really, microsoft fixed that a long time ago.

Rivitur5023d ago

It's still going on Microsoft only temporarily resolved it you can still get hacked profiles with games on them.

iamlegend99995022d ago

But it takes more effort than PC though. All you need for PC is the torrent then boom. You got it. For console's you have to go through so many processes to get the game you want.
