Fan excitement for the long-awaited return of a Shadowrun videogame soured almost immediately when they learned it would be a first person shooter. Like Dungeons & Dragons, Shadowrun began years ago as a pen and paper role-playing game, and has been maturing ever since (the rules are now in their fourth edition). Unlike D&D, though, videogame adaptations have been few and far between (the last coming out in 1994 on the Sega Genesis). With the jump in hardware since then, anticipation of what a modern videogame could do with its tech-meets-magic fantasy role-playing setting ran high. As if that wasn't disappointment enough, the current publisher of the pen and paper game, FanPro, issued what it called a "fair warning" on its blog that stated: "Microsoft rewrote the timeline and setting for this game, so it is not in continuity with the tabletop RPG. It may be more accurately described as a game loosely based on Shadowrun."

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
...this game looks like a lot of fun.
as i have posted before. this is mainly for vista and getting their feet wet with cross plate form gaming.
in a interview with the developers i read he states, "who said we are not doing a RPG?"
in other words there is going to be more of the shadow run series...this is just the start.
