RIAA.com's complete database erased

Some people exploited a SQL Injection bug that has been around for a while and they were able to erase their database and completely slowing down their website.
With a simple SQL injection, all their propaganda has been successfully wiped from the site.

....so if you have a couple of illegal MP3's, you might be able to manage to stay out of jail a couple of days more...

when I hear stuff on the radio or TV, don't I have a license to keep a copy on my PC or PS3? I was entitled to hear it, and for safety I keep a copy of what I heard..

Take that RIAA.

If anybody cares, a great website for Divx is joox.net. They have a lot of stuff there including full movie downloads.

Thanks, I'll check that out. Helpful people get bubbles (not that you need any more) :D

Crazyglues6675d ago (Edited 6675d ago )

I just laugh every time I hear about people sticking it to the man...
and if anyone really deserves it, it's the RIAA

This story is priceless... But I'm sure they got backup's so don't expect them to be down for too long.

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
