NFL license must end this year.

And when 2K gets a chance they have to make a game that will blow madden out of the water.

Prince_Dim-Lu5102d ago

Question.

Why is this game not hated on as much as COD? It's the same thing Year after Year, and what's worse, is it's the ONLY NFL Football game you can buy and play. But why are so many people angry at COD, and it's Yearly release, but they're not as vocal about Maddens?

Disclaimer... I love my COD, and I like Madden games. Just curious with why there's a difference.

N4G and most internet dudes don't care about madden. Most of my friends that play madden have no idea what E3 is or know what a gig of RAM is.

Probably because COD sells more than almost anything in the industry. Plus football fans have to pretty much deal with Madden no matter what because it's the only football game out with NFL rosters, which is a big reason I favor Madden to NCAA. Go Steelers!!! :P

I skipped 11 because of lack of progress. Played 11 demo and thought I was playing 10, plus I hated that new quick setup offense, Gameplan I think it was called. It's pretty sad that 12 swayed me with pretty much just better zone defense. It was a decent gameplay improvement, but commentating is terrible every time I play, it delays a lot. I'm just glad NCAA team took over because they make much better feeling football games (gameplay, crowd, presentation) IMO. New engine looks pretty good so far too.

There actually is a lot of hate for madden within the sports gaming community however last couple years the direction of madden has changed for the better and it has been more than just a roster update like most people on the internet that don't actually play the game like to say. Just look at this year, real time physics, more than 25 pass trajectories, players actually have to see the ball so no more psychic DB's, over 400 new catch animations and the graphics, progressive lighting, NFL films camera angles and audio as well as a whole new audio software with new commentators ( Jim nantz and phil sims) hardly the same thing as last year. Plus it's a sports game, there is a season every year and people love their sports. I mean even successful sports franchises such as NBA 2k are basically the same product every year but if you play the game you can feel the difference in the gameplay. People just seem to write off sports games as the same thing every year when really those who play the games know better. Despite Madden not being the best franchise in the world there has been change over the years thats for sure.

I am happy that EA has tried something new.
Hopefully, this sparks new interest in perfecting physics.

I can't wait to try the physics out.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee87d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
