I love platformer games — this is a tried and tested genre that has withstood time over and over again. I mean, really, can anyone get tired of platformer games? Yeah, thought so. When I saw that The Other Brothers had come out, I knew I had to give it a try.
IGN:The Other Brothers easily attracts with its large level design and stylish pixels. However, the ride is short, and camera and enemy issues strip it of its fun. Developer 3D Attack should take The Other Brothers back to the shop for a tune-up so what is under the hood matches the alluring exterior.
TouchGen: There have been some excellent 2D platformers released on the iPhone and iPad, Soosiz and SolaRola often come to mind as the best representations of their genre on Apple’s platform. For every Soosiz, though, there are tens of poorly implemented flops. The Other Brothers, a play on the Mario Brothers franchise, is a newly released platformer that hopes to win players over with visual flair and some intense platforming action.
