Review: Peter Packer - iPhone Game Spotlight

Peter Packer is a brand new game that brings such a simple concept to the iOS platform. There are three different shaped packages, and your goal is to to get each shape into the corresponding chute. If the package is a triangle, you need to put it in the triangle chute. You get the packages to the chute by dragging them from the conveyer belt to the chute. Now, what seems like such a simple concept, can get very challenging.

As time progresses, the conveyer belts speed up, thus making it more difficult to correctly place the packages. If a package makes it across the conveyer belt without being packed, you loose a life. You only have three lifes.

We just wish that overtime there were more things that got in your way, instead of speed. Things such as random packages that can't be sorted, and if so, loose you a life. Things like that.

Peter Packer may not be the most gorgeous game on the iOS platform, but the gameplay makes up for that. Over time you will create your own strategy, and patterns. The gameplay is always random as well, and changes based on how well the player does. This is one of the only iOS games that requires players to build their own skill set and adapt to the game based on they're style of play.

The performance is incredible as well. Peter Packer doesn't lag at all, and the graphics respond accordingly. From a mechanical perspective, Peter Packer is solid.

Peter Packer is one of those games that will have you fighting yourself to beat your old score, and your friends can get in on the action as well with Game Center leaderboards and achievements. There is an iPad version available, but it would be really nice if Peter Packer was iOS universal.

Peter Packer Review - Midlife Gamer

Dave Moran says: "Developers Odasoft have created a clever little game that will test your finger-to-eye co-ordination. Set in a sorting office, Peter Packer needs to get his mail out on time, and it’s up to you to help him sort out his packages and it’s more difficult than you think."

Peter Packer iOS Review | GamEvolution

Gamevolution: "The gameplay of Peter Packer is quite good. However I found that a lot of the time the iPhone mixed my fingers up, resulting in a more frustrating experience. However when I played the game, in HD, on the iPad, the difference was incredible. The game noticed my fingers a lot better and my scores improved as a result. There are three modes to Peter Packer, “Classic,” “Time Trial,” and “Quest.”"
