It’s funny how you can tell this dude doesn’t really love the art direction/aesthetic of marathon when in my opinion is the coolest aspect of the game.

I really didn't expect to like this game but after the server slam, I came away very impressed so I bought it day one. It has a lot of depth to it. Guns feel great, the different shells are really fun, sound is amazing and this is one game that really looks worse when you stream it. I understand people being divided about the art direction, I didn't love it at first but it's really grown on me. The user interface is its weakest link but once you get it, it's not an issue anymore. It's an unforgiving game but I rarely feel like I'm not making progress even if I die a bunch. I hope duos is coming.

Its a very particular type of game and definitely not what I would consider casual. There is definitely people looking for something like this.
The comparisons to Highguard make no sense as these two games are not alike at all.

Its neat especially since not everyone might have two friends playing it. Makes it more personal to go at in duos.

It's 2026 and basic match making features in MP games are still being drip fed to an audience that still gets excited over said basic feature being implemented.
