Rumour: Xenoblade Chronicles Voice Actor Might Have Leaked Evidence Of A New Release

Rumours about a new Xenoblade Chronicles release have started to circulate online today after a possible leak on the casting platform Spotlight.

The page of voice actor Caitlin Thorburn (who voiced multiple roles in the second game) has reportedly been updated to reference a "Xenoblade Chronicles" project due out in 2026. She's apparently reprising her role as KOS-MOS, who previously appeared in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and the Xenosaga series.

Probably a Switch 2 Definitive edition of XB2 + Torna with added endgame content like with XB1.

Just please be like Xenoblade Chronicles 1, 2, 3 and not like Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch. I bought it thinking it would be exactly like the previous 3 which it was not. I do not like Xenoblade Chronicles X at all.

I really like XC2 more than XC3 even though the latter has better graphics. What made part 2 better were the awesome blades like Kos Mos. I still remember that I almost dropped my switch with joy when I got Kos Mos as my last blade.

And also because of this game, it became one my favorite jrpg series which for me is at the same level as final fantasy series.

Yeah, but the game is extremely childish. My wife could not handle it due to that, she said the dialogue is like watching anime aimed for 7-year olds and it just keeps repeating itself and the typical tropes. Compared to XC1, Xenosaga and Xenogears, the writing and dialogue quality of XC2 is the absolute lowest of the series. It's like watching a children's show which is not aimed at anyone, because everyone has massive breasts and they keep bouncing up and down. Plus it didn't fix the biggest flaw of the first game: massively annoying battle voice overs. That being said, the music, the environmental art and atmosphere can be good.

We do have the trilogy here at our family, and are yet to play the XC3 which is supposed to be a huge step up from XC2, and a slight step up even from the very good XC1 in all respects. We are waiting for the Switch 2 upgrade, though, but want an OLED version of the Switch 2 and ideally a finfet shrink, slightly better form factor and properly working VRR and HDR in handheld mode. We can wait till then to play the XC3, but the XC2 was a disaster in our books.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Takahashi-san's work, and Xenogears is one of my all time favourite games, easily in top 5. I got 40yrs of gaming behind me from C64/Amiga etc. to all consoles and PC, just for the context.
