Nintendo’s Switch 2 claimed the top spot in US hardware sales for March 2026, outselling the PS5 in both unit and dollar terms – and according to Bloomberg, you can largely thank Pokémon Pokopia for that. The surprise hit landed at exactly the right moment, driving a wave of Switch 2 purchases that helped push Americans to spend $500 million on gaming hardware last month – a staggering 69% year-over-year increase.
Circana analyst Mat Piscatella was direct about what moved the needle, stating that Pokopia “was the primary driver” of Switch 2’s March performance. That’s a remarkable statement when you consider the franchise’s pull – Pokémon has been generating serious buzz lately, and it clearly translated into hardware sales in a way that Sony couldn’t match this month. Keep in mind these figures cover physical and hardware spending tracked by Circana, so digital software numbers sit outside this particular read.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

All available May 5.
I think the only game here for me is Nine Sols. Was always interested in that game.
Good month for me, I wanted that particular footy game and thought it might be due. Anyway who cares, shame about the site I'll miss the comment sections. All the best everyone.
Great news! XD
Go Nintendo!
Switch 2 is honestly fast becoming one of my favourite systems of all time
All thanks to Pukeopia
Say what you will, but the kids wanted Pokopia and we finally had to get this thing.
Very dissapointed they couldn't release the game on the OG switch, since it's not demanding by any means.... But I understand the need to move on. The Switch lasted us quite a while, and we have a lot of fond memories with the console.
