Halo: Campaign Evolved receives MA 15+ rating in Australia, marking a higher classification than recent Halo titles.
Microsoft is planning to put out Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5 during the summer months, according to a new report from The Verge covering Xbox's plans for 2026.

Coz they're now remaking the first 3 as Trilogy Remake with proper stylistic continuation (big benefiter here is Halo 3, although the OG still looks artistically superb)

Microsoft has powered up their milking abilities with remastering remakes and second remakes....
That's quite an unfair headline.
It received a PC Port, a decade-later Anniversary with a new graphical shell, which then got packed into MCC. This Campaign Evolved is only the first take at a Remake...
Overwrought whining about remasters/remakes has became far more annoying than the remakes themselves. If you are so sick of a lack of originality, come up with original commentary on the games industry, instead of just retreading the exact same criticism people have been making for the last five years.
A remake of a remake.
It's for Playstation gamers. THAT is why they remade this and the Gears remake. It's to get Playstation gamers ready for the inevitable sequels and new games coming up, which will be day 1 on PS5 and PS6 going forward.
Feels like a cheaper way to gauge interest in the franchise before going fully fledged on a sequel.
'Halo is on PlayStation moving forward' said the Halo Studios Community Director whilst wearing a PlayStation logo t-shirt and a co-ordinated post going up on the PlayStation Blog. Microsoft pivoted its entire Xbox business party because of the success it had with selling millions of games to PS5 owners. It was important to bring them to help Halo feel like it's their game too.
Why did it do this? Because sales of Xbox consoles have dropped and the install base will likely decrease further by the time the premium-priced next-gen Xbox launches. So Microsoft needs to reach gamers on the console they're playing on - and currently that is PlayStation.

Fans of the classic game. Multi-player in Halo hasn't been fun for me since Reach so I just want the original game.
That's what I'm wondering too. Like congrats I guess, PlayStation finally gets HALO 24 years later. Can you really brag about it? The hype around this series was something you HAD to be there for and those years are long gone. The series lived and died in those 9 years of the early 2000's. Everything about HALO and its sequels afterwards was meant to be enjoyed then and now they're just beating a dead horse. 4 wasn't good (stop pretending it was), 5 wasn't any better, Infinite was dead on arrival cause MS wanted to release that shite in an incomplete state and the years delay did absolutely nothing.
Its 2025 and pretty graphics are all people need to want this. They're just going to remake the 2nd game and then the 3rd. They don't know what to do with this series anymore. It's been reduced to nothing more than a product, it's no longer art.
I mean, I started with the God of war series years after it came out. I was still able to enjoy it. There was no hype around those games when I played them neither was there hype around the ratchet and clank games from ps2 when I played them 5 years ago. But imagine, I was able to enjoy them a lot.
I didn't say people can't enjoy a game years after they released. Anyone who wanted to play HALO has had plenty of time to. Any modern potato PC can run these games. My point was that the remake is pointless because MS will never catch lighting in a bottle with HALO again. They should've brought over MCC to PS. People's excitement is all around this being graphically pretty but we all know they can't do anything else with this series. Bungie started it and they ended it and 343 hasn't been able to do anything with it which is why they're just remaking what is still a great game that anyone who wanted to play already has. If you haven't played HALO cause it hasn't been on PS then that's just stupid fanboy logic.
