A cancelled LucasArts-era Star Wars shooter, “First Assault,” is being shown as playable online in new footage. Here’s what First Assault was, what the new videos claim, and why fans are buzzing.

DSOGaming writes: "Last year, we informed you about Star Wars: First Assault. Star Wars: First Assault was being developed internally at LucasArts and was cancelled in 2012. Thankfully, its tech beta build found its way on the Internet."
Another Star Wars: Battlefront 3 that could have been.
Hopefully the new game will do well enough to encourage people to go back to the ones that were cancelled. Fingers crossed.
I would have loved a game like this. It begs the question, why can't we have a proper mature Star Wars singleplayer game? And by mature I mean something that is not Lego, or Clone Wars cartoons. any news on the Star Wars game being penned by Amy Henning?

From Pixel Apocalypse...
"On this week's episode of the Pixel Apocalypse Podcast Nate and Joe jump into the ever murky waters of video games as a service and not a product. The boys also discuss recent developments surrounding Disney and their handling of the Star Wars franchise thus far. Finally the conversation turns in a much more comic book like direction where Wonder Woman and Batman are featured prominently."
Fuck you Disney seriously we lost so many potentially great games
