After playing so many climbing games, we thought now was the perfect time to decide which are the most iconic mountains in video games.

The Outerhaven writes: Cairn equally delivers in both its touching narrative and challenging mountain climbing as well.

"What’s this? Back-to-back reviews of games I did back-to-back previews of last year? That’s continuity, folks. This time I’m playing Cairn, the latest game from The Game Bakers; a small French studio — just 17 full-time members working remotely around the world — responsible for Furi and Haven. It’s clear these guys have some serious range. Speaking of, Cairn sees protagonist Aava tackling a mountain range, culminating in an attempt to climb the yet unconquered Kami. In order to summit this killer mountain, Aava will need grit, determination, and perseverance… as will I. " Paul from TC

Qt3's Woodlance: "A terrifying horror game about a protagonist who doesn’t understand that rock climbing is scary and not beautifully transformative."
The mountain in Journey should’ve been in the list as its a constant presence in that game.
As for another pretty one, any mountain featured on a Sonic title screen or in the Master System version on the map. Those always look nice.
I love that Spiral Mountain made the list because it's rightly iconic (if you grew up in the 90s).
I do think God of War's Mount Olympus deserves a mention, at least.
No Death Mountain from Zelda is crazy bro
