It's crazy how my opinion of this game has completely flipped compared to three months ago. I think this looks awesome now!

Yeah Im looking at this and thinking its going to be a major release.

babadivad128d ago

It's launching at the perfect time. Were basically in a new release gaming desert.

Don't worry folks, if you need a Concord 2 to laugh at Highguard is just around the corner and has less than 1% of the hype.

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH128d ago

Or we can just laugh at your ridiculous comment that has nothing to do with the article…

Let me just say I was in the Alpha for this game Gahdamn did I have a terrible time with certain aspects of it. Graphics were inconsistent, and the “E” in PvPvE was absolutely diabolical and annoying af. The PVP aspect was fine. That damn E though. Bullet sponge, crackshot, body campers after you’re down so you can’t even be revived. You’re crawling off and they walking right along with you. Wasn’t one E either. They air lift a gang of them mfs to you. I gave them probably the longest detailed feedback I’ve ever given. That being said, game looks INCREDIBLY different. Won’t know until it’s in hands, but they honestly must have taken a lot of player feedback to heart. Game was so bad I had zero intention of getting it. The PVP felt good, but wrapped in a turd bubble. Also loved that the story progressed as you completed online missions. Kind of like arc raiders, but in a far better quality with cutscenes and a coherent storyline. So far so good BUNGIE!

Marathon PS5 Review | Bungie's Extraction Shooter Bet | Spawning Point

Bungie's PvPvE extraction shooter set on Tau Ceti IV in 2893. The gunplay inherits and refines Destiny's best-in-class shooting mechanics, heavy, precise, lethal. The extraction loop creates authentic pressure. The foundation is exceptional. The superstructure needs building.

“ Is it April fools day again?

The game is dead.

EDIT: the numbers are fudged. “digital sales on Nintendo and Xbox weren’t included in the data”

Does it hurt you to hear a SONY game was BEST selling ?
You gotta let go of those OBCURED feelings 🤷🏿

Neonridr36d ago

I mean the only reason MLB was the best selling title was because it was multi-platform. Likewise with Marathon. Will ring true for MS games. Only Nintendo titles are truly flexing their muscles when they chart as they are only to be found there.

S2Killinit36d ago

So that means we are going to act like it wasn’t best selling?

Neonridr35d ago

@S2Killinit - no it means that it was not entirely due to Sony.

VersusDMC35d ago

"Leading the way was MLB The Show 26. And while digital sales on Nintendo and Xbox weren’t included in the data, it still found its way to the number one spot despite only being on the market for two weeks at the time."

Don't let your nintendo bias get ahead of you and just lie...

It's kinda funny how this Obscure guy lives rent-free in your head. lol

Does Phil also live there?

Don’t bother writing anything I will not respond to a bratty child like you

jambola35d ago

you know when you hit caps lock you can turn it off before finishing a word right?
it's not a commitment

1Victor35d ago

I was typing on my old iPad with near full memory and it was acting up 🤷🏿

Outside_ofthe_Box36d ago

Can't wait to see how this is spun negatively. 😜

-Foxtrot36d ago

Yeah sure, yet the player count is no where near what they want for a AAA game with so much money behind it

Why people are trying to spin this game like it’s done overly amazing is baffling to me.

It won’t even be a blip on peoples radars by the end of the year .

S2Killinit36d ago

I really doubt that. I see it getting more and more traction.

ChunkyMonk36d ago

You must me typically wrong cuz those Steam chart numbers (AKA where the game sold the MOST) is less than what Hunt has, and Hunt didn't cost $500 million to make lol

Haki111235d ago

From the launch to now it went from 88k to 20k peak on steam that's like a 77% percent loss of players how is that gaining traction? Also if the people who are close to Bungie aren't lying PC users are the primary players.

terrorofdeath35d ago

by the end of the year? probably sooner than that

Soy36d ago

So........doing better than most expected, but not enough to make back what it cost.
