The title of part 3 in Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy will be finalized within this year in 2025.
My most anticipated game , Rebirth has one of my favorite combat systems of all time and is one of the only games that really made me feel like I'm playing a next gen game this generation .
To me the FF7 Remake series is like the Evangelion Rebuild series and I love those , a retelling and also a continuation of what came before without invalidating them . I hope it does a complete Rebuild 2.0 ending and goes almost completely off the rails from the Og anime lol like I wanna know more about Jenova and the greater universe !!!
This should be renamed to Remagined instead of remake with the countless, drastic changes they made. Still, pretty good games and I can't wait for the 3rd part to be released.
well if you wanna be a word nazi, reimagined would mean that it's just a thing in their head and that no one would be able to play it.
I thought it was clever once I got over the initial shock of what I had just experienced with the whispers and realized what the (Remake) title actually implied with a double meaning . The fact that they incorporated aspects of Advent Children, Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus into the lore made me realize these new games are all still apart of the FF7 compilation that started 20 years ago with the OG timeline still connected and everything is all canon which is so cool .
I just think it's a shame that some people can't appreciate what it is and what it's trying to do because it's not what they expected ... and like they say " Expectation is the thief of joy " . To me I spent my first paycheck at 15 to buy a ps1 and ff7 and almost 30 years later I still get to experience this franchise with aww , excitement and wonder !!
Im just disappointed they wasted the Reunion title on Crisis Core, it was perfect. Still, no reason it cant still be used. No ones getting confused between the two.

The original FF7 had just as many things that were considered minigames they just weren't as fleshed out. People forget this. And most were optional in Rebirth even the card game you didnt have to play once. And it wasnt garbage, far from it.

I skipped Part II—can’t stand the combat. Even basic enemies take ages, and there are way too many fights. Add in the bloated, pointless side content and painfully asinine writing, and the first remake already felt like a total waste of time.
to be fair, if u already felt that way about part 1, then its your own fault for even playing part 2.

Did you only play it on dynamic? Because that's the point of that where enemies level up with you. Try playing it on normal.

Don't know why you are downvoted, but I 100% agree. The game was filled with filler content to just waste your time. Hopefully the third game will be more linear than Rebirth.
Hopefully far less bloat, awful needless changes and we find out Chadley has been killed in between games.
They should release a Triple pack on launch day. Not just a digital version but also a physical version.
Once this is done, this trilogy (full experience) will be my Game of All Time. I have still yet to be wowed as much by a game, have so much fun and variety of things to do, and a story that’s extremely layered like this. Not saying there aren’t stories out there with other games, but just in my experience, Remake and Rebirth have hit so many high notes for me throughout my entire time with them. It’s been such an awesome time.

Me too. I loved how the open world was made but that was like 50 to 60% of the complete world shown. We definitely see 100%
I like Hamaguchi. I really do. But I highly doubt that they are going to stick the landing after all the effing around they have done with the original plot. Maybe Nomura and Kitase can let Hamaguchi direct his own game in the future without meddling. I am willing to bet that that game will be much better.

the og is still around for you to enjoy. i personally love what they've done with the story in remake.
having the same game again was never what i and the devs wanted.
I feel they've done great with the story considering all the other FF7 media there is and how they incorporated it in and expanded the world and lore in more ways I could imagine . All that stuff is canon and would've been a waste to disregard them or leave Yuffie or Vincent as optional characters even though they weren't originally supposed to be so . The og7 is still canon in these games so I can enjoy 7r games for what they are . It's kinda like the rebuiild movies with Evangelion .. those last 2 movies made me love that series even more then I thought I could even though they totally devated from the original plot
It’s not surprising at all that people like me are still around. My opinion is just as valid as yours and my 60 dollar vote carries as much weight as yours does.
We never got concrete numbers of Rebirth’s sales, but something tells me that the pivot to multiplatform and the shake up in management are signs that the Remake trilogy was a bad idea. If anything it’s surprising that people like you are still around. There won’t be many of you left when Remake part 3 flops and Square gets liquidated by the Saudis.

Coming soon for square means 2+ years lol. Minigames need to stay minimal and not too heavily relied on for amazing gear. Exception is an arena mode which rebirth+remake did have and my most favorite.
