Resident Evil Requiem isn’t just another sequel — it’s Capcom standing on nearly 30 years of survival horror history and finally asking the hardest question of all: what if Resident Evil truly understood itself?
This Resident Evil Requiem review is a full deep dive into what the game is trying to be: a synthesis of classic tension, modern action, and first‑person psychological horror — all with the weight of decades of Resident Evil history behind it.
We break down the dual‑protagonist structure (Grace Ashcroft vs Leon S. Kennedy), pacing, monster design, sound/atmosphere, and the tech/performance conversation across platforms — plus the “best way to play” discussion at the end.

Resident Evil Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi talks about cutting content and making horror approachable.

Resident Evil Requiem surpasses 7 million copies sold, becoming the fastest-selling entry in the franchise
Street Fighter IV revitalized both the fighting genre and Capcom as a whole. They haven't let off the gas since. And that RE engine really turned it up. It's like everything they release now outpaces themselves. Still can't believe they're bringing back Onimusha. Top 3 games I'm looking forward to this year.

A fresh datamine of Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem has hinted at the game's upcoming minigame bringing back Mercenaries mode.
The game has been properly cracked by voices38, no Hypervisor bypass shit. It actually runs better without Denuvo. From Tom's Hardware: "Denuvo properly cracked in Resident Evil: Requiem, bypasses become plug-and-play — cracked version runs faster, smoother, and uses way less VRAM and RAM" https://www.tomshardware.co... I personally don't give a shit about RE anymore, same crap every year it seems, but I got to give to voices 38 good job.🙌
If Mercenaries is really coming back, that’s a huge win. It’s always been one of the most replayable modes in the series, especially in games like Resident Evil 4 and 5. Hopefully they modernize it a bit with online co-op or leaderboards, but keep the fast-paced arcade feel. Would be a great way to add longevity beyond the main story.
Resident Evil Requiem is one of the best games this generation, every gamer owes it to themselves to play this great game. Capcom did an incredible job and prove time and time again that giving your fans exactly what they love pays off. They are truly firing on all cylinders right now. Their optimization on every platform is to be commended, the duality of the game really does lean perfectly into this genre. Werther you like action, or stealth, boss fights or just story? this game has something for everyone! curios to see how others felt about the game, Leon or Grace? First person or third?
