I immediately made the connection when the trailer showed the layered rice terraces in-game, which largely resemble those seen in the Philippines. Specifically, they're most widely recognized as the Ifugao rice terraces built more than 2,000 years ago in Luzon, Philippines. Rice terraces are designed for efficient irrigation along with rich natural resources, and they look like large steps embedded on the sides of mountains. They're still used to this day and are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and they're colloquially known as the "eighth wonder of the world."
Filipino Twitter was popping off during the reveal, grabbing screenshots from the trailer and comparing them to real photos. This included the floating bamboo houses, the deep blue-green waterfronts along cliffsides seen in Palawan, and the rural-style housing often seen in Southeast Asia.

Graphics seem to have improved, hoping the dialogues are spoken. Last I played was Atreus, I liked the idea but it’s so simplistic and technically terrible
Looks decent but I’ll wait for more info, Pokemon has this thing where the reveal looks super promising but they always fumble at release
The starters are a tad disappointing, the chonky dog looks adorable and probably my main pick so far but the other two are basically Rowlett and Sobble 2.0.
I'm cautiously optimistic as well. If it ends up being what I THINK it will be, I may have to end up getting a Switch 2 before OLED version. We shall see.
I was going to say here we go again with this dance from Game Freak, but it looks like they actually put some effort into this release in terms of the presentation from what I see in this trailer.
They still need to figure out how to get voice acting in the game. It is strange they struggle with this even though they have an Anime that is running for about 20 years now with a voice cast right there.
Looks fine at max, but I just can't trust GameFreak anymore. They have made so many mediocre Pokemon games lately that my expectations are all time low. Does it still have no voiceacting?
The cut to black when the camera dives under water is hella sus lolz. I betcha underwater won't look nearly as good as the shit in the trailer.
my god man, always something to cry about. Do you say that about every movie trailer as well when it cuts to black? Oh the cgi must probably be dogshit in that scene cause in the first trailer ever released they cut to black. They also literally showed how underwater looked but hey, noticing like 15s of footage is pretty hard to do in a 3 minute trailer.
