A new PS3 vs PS5 comparison highlights improvements in Metal Gear Solid 4 Remaster ahead of Master Collection Vol 2 launch on August 27, 2026.
Konami UK has unveiled a Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.2 Steelbook Case that will be available as a pre-order bonus at select retailers for the console versions of the game.
Includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
I wonder if MGS4 has MGO.. doubtful, but my favourite MP experience of all time.
That would have been amazing. I agree. I generally don't like online multiplayer because I came up in the multi-tap/4-controller port era, but MGO was genuinely special.
My teenage years were spent trying to get the damn Fox/Foxhound rank, whilst trying to figure out how to kill Raiden fairly haha! LOVED MGO for MGS4.

I am curious to see what improvements they make to MGS Peace Walker. Would it receive further graphical and gameplay improvements or is it a straight up port PS3/360 version

omg I DIDNT even think about that.. mgo will be so awesome if included but highly doubtful. I am just happy we are finally getting MGS4 on current gen to be able to play it in 4K 60FPS is going to be insane!
If MGS4 is coming to Xbox and to a lesser extent PC, what will they do with all the ad placements with Sony PlayStation products throughout the game. Will they leave it all in or do some minor alterations on those ports.
Also for the Switch/Switch2.
I'd just leave them in. Its not like its going to harm Xbox/PC future sales because the PS3 or blu ray is advertised... Xbox is basically multiplatform now anyway.
Why do people always bring up the Xbox like if we want to buy that overpriced outdated console.
Never buying an Xbox product ever again, just bring it to Playstation.

Konami's Metal Gear Solid devs just confirmed MGS: Master Collection Vol. 2, though they haven't finalized the games list and other stuff.
Vol.1 was such embarrassing trash, even if Konami promises a perfect Vol.2 I don't have high hopes for it. Though I would love to be proven wrong. Publishers have become very accustomed to releasing unfinished games these days, and Konami has done nothing within the past decade to have earned our trust.
They admitted their mistakes and said we will use the feedback to do better. Let’s hope for the best. Would love a classic Konami collection. Their games on SNES and genesis
I want MGS Collection V1 but haven’t bought it yet. Recently, I believe Konami said they will continue to improve it.

Recently bought XSX version for $19 something. I think they will make improvements because they realized finally that there is a lot of hunger for their games and they need to do them right instead of quick crash grabs
The collection would be fine with just good ports of MGS4 and Peace Walker. They are the Last 2 essential mgs games and no need for 5 as it's already available on current systems.
Maybe it can add twin snakes or portable ops but i think thats too much for them to handle at once looking at the quality of the first collection.

It would be a shitty follow up if it only contained those two. They need to include portable ops, twin snakes, babel and thr acid games as well. If they do that, we'll get a complete collection of Metal Gear titles on all modern platforms.
Looking at other Konami collections, this doesn't seem completely unreleastic tbh.
Considering vol 1 was MGS 1, 2 and 3 for 60$ i highly doubt you're getting all those games in Vol2. MGS4 is highly requested and will be a difficult port so it could be sold at 40 on it's own.
If they decide to port everything MGS then most of those will go on a Vol3.

Finding hard to bite on these even at the $19.99 sale price after all the terrible reviews.
The first collection didn't have any option to play the games in Japanese language with English subs, which made it completely uninteresting to me, and I expect the same issue with this one, so *shrugs* ...
Such a shame. These are all classic games, but it seems Konami straightout refuses to release them in the West with the Japanese voices.
Looks good and highlights how impressive the ps3 was in some scenes the ps3 looked better than ps5.
This is a excellent color correction and minimal graphics enhancements by it.
For those that haven’t played it this is the true ending of the metal gear saga.
Funny how Konami survives on Castlevania, Contra, TMNT, Metal Gear, and Gradius remasters. Nothing new since Kojima and Igarashi left.
