Review - Code Violet (PS5) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Code Violet is simultaneously a game that should be way better than it is, but also surprisingly a game that could have been so much worse as well. It’s a broken and uninteresting slog that doesn’t come close to even matching the potential for a dinosaur action-horror title."

Call me crazy, but there’s stuff in this game that make me want to try it. Like the T-Rex sequences look pretty intense.

PS5 Exclusive Dino Shooter Code Violet Has Gone Gold, Delayed to January 2026

In the absence of Dino Crisis, TeamKill Media's upcoming shooter Code Violet looks set to fill the void.

The PS5 exclusive sci-fi action horror title has been on the radar all year, and was expected to launch back in November. Unfortunately, it hasn't hit its launch plans, and has been delayed to 10th January 2026.

LOL. This is like the third time the game's been delayed this year. It was originally slated for release back in July. TeamKill Media needs to stop releasing these gameplay trailers with announce dates, only to keep pushing it back by another month or two.
It's pretty obvious (judging by the most recent trailer) that the game still needs more time in the oven.

I wonder if this will turn out to be good, many people would be excited to play a game fighting giant dinosaurs, me included.

It looks very mixed and it's concerning that they seem to be hesistant to show uncut gameplay. But i do hope it could atleast be like a daymare. Wouldn't mind a game like this, but I"m not ecpecting a classic

Wow, that’s a pretty big shift — from a November release all the way to January. Still, “gone gold” is reassuring, so hopefully the extra time is just polishing and logistics rather than deeper issues.

Honestly, with how starved people are for a proper dino-horror experience, Code Violet could really hit if the atmosphere and gunplay live up to what they’ve shown so far. January might even give it more breathing room away from the crowded holiday lineup.

Fingers crossed it lands strong — the premise has a ton of potential.

Haven't seen this one before looks ok. Downloaded so many games for the holidays including the gt7 expansion pack. Played the Marvel Tokon beta this morning.
