Yes, it's about time developers & publishers look for better ways to show off their games. I could imagine that Sony's marketing department tried Twitch to see peoples interest and response but they probably didn't expect such a bad quality. I can imagine them being pretty disappointed as well, it would've been much smarter to just send the footage to Gamersyde.
At this point I'm completely convinced that this will be a crazy good game ...my only hope is that it doesn't get delayed.
The colors will come from fire, lightning and all these kinds of effects. I for one don't worry about the environment since I trust RAD to know it better than me. I know that it will look glorious on my own TV and that videos can't do it justice anyway.
I don't see any problems with the title, must be an US-exclusive opinion. I don't expect much from the trademark though.
This and the Order 1886 shown today seem to be the best looking games in their genres. Nextgen is slowly approaching, of course people are excited for it :)
X1 seems to have inferior AA and AO. Other than that and the resolution itself, I can't see any differences. Looks good on both platforms but hey, that's what the delay was for.
May I add:
- the Unexpected
Honestly, I'm not keen on arguing how it turns out ...I'll rather just let them surprise me.
I don't think Sony's longterm marketing plan is being influenced by some random Xbox news, that's not how things work in a big company. Just like Sony did not drop the PSEye camera after seeing the Xbox reveal ...it's just deluded to believe that.
Well the video will run great on a i7 ...the game not so much :P
Maybe people have a different opinion on what was the best part?
It looked better than it played at the time but the concept itself was cool. Could be a great game with todays technology.
This definately needs to happen in the future.
I love your stupid comments, here's a bubble :D
Well yes... inFamous actually looks visually more pleasing, probably because it doesn't strive for photorealism. I find it intriguing how some Ubisoft guy said that the city in inFamous is lifeless ...Watch Dogs doesn't seem to be much better in that aspect either. But all of this won'T stop me from enjoying the game next week :)
This livestream actually looks real, how many hours from now? 4,5h?
I certainly hope it's not being delayed ...but I agree with NewMondays quote - a good delayed game is much better than a mediocre early release.
Also why is the article talking about "troubled sequel Uncharted PS4"? Must be top secret insider knowledge ...
Well I have other advantages though ;)
My brother has a PS4 too, we share all games together ...I would need to buy the game twice to play it with him. I can't sell them but it's very convenient to switch between digital games. I went full digital for PS4 (and PC) and I don't regret it at all :)
I loved Heavy Rain for what it was but I agree, he has to change his priorities. Instead of looking at story/characters first, he should develop something that's fun to play and then build the story around it. What's so hard at making a cool, slow-paced action RPG with character progression depending on story outcomings?
Seems like I'm in the minority but I preordered it through PSN yesterday after seeing some convincing gameplay. I actually think that this COULD be way better than GTA5 after seeing the footage. I hope I'm right, can't wait for next week =)
Yes, TLOU is a prime example for superior storytelling. It is certainly possible to rival movies at this point, it's just very hard to do. I'm excited to see whether The Order:1886 and Uncharted 4 can pull it off.
Of course people on this site are happy that MS is going the gamers route again ...but it was certainly not because of goodwill or "to please the fans". Sales were simply below expectations and that said I don't even think that siding with the gamers again will save them. Especially WE know exactly how soon MS abandoned the X360 and how timed exclusives came to PS3 a few years later ...and we know exactly which console is more powerful and yet cheaper... and who has the better s...
