It didn't need insider knowledge to know that it was a likely to be delayed. It's sad but I'm okay with it, a delayed game is better than an unfinished one.
Stupid statements like hers lead me to actual violence ...nothing else.
Yep, my little brother said to me "this looks like a movie". The only downgrade was the stream quality. I felt like it's 2002.
Secret Ponchos would be amazing, It seems like a good game that many could be missing out on ...which would result in emtpy online matches. With a PS+ release this game and it's online community would last very, very long.
The only thing Microsoft can do this E3 is closing gaps ...and looking at Sony's "potential announcements"-list I suspect that these gaps won't be closed anytime soon. My personal prediction is that Xbox will lose even more marketshare in the next 12 months if Microsoft doesn't bring some truly mindblowing stuff at E3.
I'll believe it when I see it, this is highly unlikely, even with a SSD it's hard to imagine that this is a permanent improvement.
Little details like that are the reason why I'm okay with the visual downgrade. A convincing atmosphere, interesting characters and gameplay are much more important to me. My PC probably couldn't handle the E3 2012 version anyway :D
It certainly has become one of the best things about Playstation. I actually bought a used PS3 last month, filled it with about 60 games from my PS+ account and sent it to my little cousin in Albania where these things are expensive as hell. Now he can enjoy the whole last generation for free mainly thanks to PS+. It's really the best subscription I've ever paid for and I hope Sony can keep it up on PS4... I definately can't complain about the last few months.
@DVS-Zev:
I said that I have to add it, not you. Of course inFamous is the currently best looking console game that can rival any high end PC output, I never denied that. The Order:1886 looks even better than anything I've seen on PC yet so please don't call me an "insecure PC Gamer".
I agree but I have to add "on console" to that statement.
I'm currently playing a heavily modded Skyrim and it looks so glorious that even inFamous can't keep up :D
I enjoyed TLOU (played it 3,5 times and will get it again for PS4) much more than Mario Galaxy 1&2 to be honest.
@George:
Yes the X1 version is almost on par with the PS4 version this time but there are still noticeable differences, not even talking about the difference in resolution.
OT: I'm glad that Watch_Dogs was worth the wait and my preorder was a good decision... I will probably enjoy this until Diablo3 drops on PS4 in August =)
You should also think about: Headset, HDMI cable, monitor, speakers, and maybe a bluetooth adapter (for wireless controllers)
The PC in the link is good but if you worry about costs you might want to get a console FOR NOW ...PC hardware will inflate more than the price of the consoles, you can still get a PC in 2-3 years if your current one is doing fine.
Chinese teenagers probably bear more grudges against american companies because of recent events (NSA, etc.) than against japanese for historical wars. But it doesn't matter, if they like a product they will buy it. And I can imagine China becoming a big market for home consoles in the next few years.
It's just too much, there is not way it has 50 different playable characters. About 25-35 seems realistic.
Well I certainly hope so as I prefer gaming on a console. But I'll buy their games on PC as well if there's no choice just like Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3 (which I've bought a second time for PS3 afterwards :D)
I actually agree with your complete blog post, very well written.
I always had a bad feeling about Sessler, you could sense that something's wrong with him. Then all these controversies started a few months ago and I started to really hate him and his opinion so I certainly won't miss him in this industry.
And balanced as well. It's important that every class is competitive and fun to play. If they can nail that aspect I'm definately interested.
My experience with 5+ years of PSN is that nothing is ever lost, it just takes a bit when there are server issues or maintenance. Just be patient.
