yes it did start on ps3, then it switched over to 360 half way in development.

360 controller has weight aswell, and thats a good thing. i played with a 2 axis controller. no weight there. didnt feel right. u need to know it is there in your hands. played cod4, triggers are so cheap compared to the 360's in my opinion. 360 have a certain spring back that makes it fell like a trigger. ps3's is just a flat and flappy paddle to be honest. but i can understand what the argument is about. if you have had a dualshock since ps2, your hands have proberly molded to the shape. sa...
