Graphics are meh. but if there is either a yeti or a dinosaur in that cave they sold me...
Too late to edit comment and I don't want to add more misinformation.
I said 300,000 Americans will get it and 1,000 will die.
I messed up my math a bit. 9,000 will die not 1,000 as the worst case. (I don't believe that is how many will, I believe it will end up about 1,000-1,500) but I don't want to contribute to misinformation and wanted the correct numbers here.
Flu will still kill 6x as many American's this year.
@edgelord
You say 40 to 70% of people will get it based on nothing. Meanwhile based on the actual numbers in china as a sample. 80,000 people got it out of 1,500,000,000 which is actually less than .01% of their population. This is based on ACTUAL NUMBERS not catastrophic thinking.
60,000 people in Italy have it out of 60,000,000. a .1% of their population
8,000 cases in S. Korea out of 51,000,000. .01%
21,000 cases in Iran out of 81,000,000 people. almost...
@Toxic-inferno
My point with the number of swine flu is the reaction of the world (yes there was quite a bit of unnecessary panic) the world didn't shut down the economy over it and people went on living. What it boils down to is what is a reasonable reaction. If you stub your toe is it reasonable to cut your foot off to avoid the pain of the toe???
You are free to disagree, but a virus that only kills about 1% of those infected (the number is 3, but I think we can all a...
To each of you down voting me.
Guess you don't like freedom.
Not going to be here all day so I will respond to 1 point from each of you
@toxic-inferno
Corona was loose in a country of 1 billion people yet only infected 80,000 of them. You say it is "hard" to control, clearly that isn't the case. When everyone says it's impossible to even know if you have it for upwards of weeks, there is no way to quarantine it. If this virus was as ...
good? This hysteria has destroyed far more lives than Corona has or will. Corona, like the flu, will have a mortality rate of at best 1%. With most of that 1% people that were on death's door to begin with.
For 80% of people that do get Corona the symptoms are no worse than a mild cold, and even those that are in that 20% they have already discovered multiple medications that drastically improve and shorten their time down.
Yet here we are, the governments of the world ...
Why don't they leave war behind. How about an alien invasion? That would be cool. Or zombies, though it has been done to death...
There is never been a single time in history that Sony wasn't the right choice for gaming.
Their games are a huge leap over the competition and considering Xbox won't have "next generation" games for 2 years after launch says that while Xbox might be a higher resolution, Sony will offer better open worlds and game mechanics like 3d sound, which if its true and Kojima will make a Ps5 Silent Hill game, think of what Kojima could do with THAT (he is still the only per...
By off the shelf I didn't mean for you to take me literally. I meant it as, it does things the same as a off the shelf model. Meanwhile Sony seems to be innovating quite a bit with sound. Just shows the differences in the 2 companies. Sony has a long history of inventing stuff, meanwhile Microsoft still can't get a decent web browser working...
I feel the opposite. Xbox came across as an off the shelf PC, meanwhile Sony is doing what Sony always does. Trailblaze. I like the idea that my tv's built in speakers can sound better than surround sound.
I would hate to live in a world where the only choice was Pizza Hut, I much rather have the choice to go to Dominoes, Marcos, Papa Johns, or even when desperate Little Caesars... Choices are always good, laziness on the devs shouldn't be justified.
They want to wow people
Start the show with some ice-cream truck music... and then see a flaming clown head...
Then cut to a pixar style looking thing with a monkey in the woods... then a net swooshes down on it....
Then cut to a snowy mountain and a guy does some crazy trick....
Then cut to PS5 logo.
Then the show starts. What better to show the power of the PS5 than reboot 3 series that have mostly been stuck in the PS1 generation (and unlike sp...
Least deadly bug to ever infect a bethesda game.
Sadly they didn't listen to Nancy Reagan and I grew up to be a prolific cereal killer. Damn them bowing down to the likes of Sega, now all that milk is on THEIR hands.
Rainslacker, before I respond, thank you for taking a measure rational approach to this, I don't think ignoring Corona is the answer, my only goal is to put it in perspective because the reactions by people are far beyond rational.
I try to point out about things like the flu and strep not to say WORRY ABOUT THESE I bring them up to go "hey, you go on with your life each day with these dangers out there and you've come out fine". I believe a bit of apathy is health...
17 people have died in the USA to Corona.
1000-1800 die in the USA to STREP each year, another 50,000 die to Necrotitus Fasciitus commonly called flesh eating bacteria, it is the exact same bacterial strain as Strep.
40-50,000 people due in USA to the flu each year.
This isn't complacency it is a measured rational response. What most of those of detracting me are expressing is called CATASTROPHIC THINKING and it is a mental illness where you always jump right to...
“When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.” -Socrates
1. Strep is NOT contained. Strep is a bacteria and highly infectious. Worst even, the bacteria that causes strep also causes the flesh eating disease.
2. You do realize the flu isn't contained at all, over 35 million people get it every year (that is 1 in 20 people, compare that to the 1 in million of Corona)
3. Corona will NEVER be contained, it will burn out. It already has practically burned out in China, with most people there who had it through it healthy.
