you must not be a true final fantasy fan or a squaresoft fan for that matter, to ask that question.granted every final fantasy is different but somethings are a constant like towns&shops, mini games, exploration(or the sense of), side quest, a story thats well paced insead of being revealed in 10hrs, which lead to no plot twist, fully flushed out antagonist, that make you care about their motives etc.
