He's showed the features that will be in the game. They are delivering what they are showing.
I dont know what you mean "Chainsaw imbalance"? The chainsaw is kind of a sneak up and slaughter kind of weapon -- its not imbalanced.
If you nail a guy with a chainsaw, its not like he's going to have much hope of fighting you off.

And, we still havent really seen any gameplay footage except some tech-demonstrations.
There is *plenty* of time for them to market the game and release details. In due time, all in due time.
But, I suspect you're not really interested... I highly recommend you buy a Xbox 360 so you can play the vast library of great games and be ready for Gears of War 2, you dont want to miss out on what many expect to be Game of...

I think you'll find that you will be correct.
GTAIV will probably sell the most, then madden and a couple other sports games, but Gears of War 2 will almost certainly out-sell MGS4.

There was (until today) a very good chance that Gears of War 2 wouldnt ship until next year.
This is in fact a new game annoucment. Everything till now was speculation.
It doesnt really matter anyway, the game is going to be great, and we are getting it in November.

The GeoW2 is a Teaser Trailer, but you'll be able to watch all the media from GDC.
The LIVE team is reporting from the GDC and all the presentations and such are on video LIVE. There are Too Human videos (that look incredible) as well.

The two arent even comparable. HS had a gameplay style much different than Gears of War. Why bring it up?

I hate driving into a video rental shop or a retail shop to buy discs.
I *VASTLY* prefer downloading my movies. I decide what I want to watch, download and then view.
No gas burned, its cheaper, no dusty discs, totally future proof and I wont have to return anything.
Digital Download is the *CURRENT* winner.
Are you kidding? Have you used Xbox LIVE Marketplace? Your media plays a few seconds after you start downloading, it is a streaming solution.
Or, even if it *wasnt* how many movies do you play a week? 7? 15? Be realistic.
If "play-now" matters to you, then you can do it.
If it doesnt, you can download movies faster than you can afford to buy them anyway.
When you buy a disc, you dont "own" the movie either.
Further, this generation of DRM is puts your players totally in control of the MPAA/RIAA.

Clearly you don't understand what HD-DVDs, BR and their players "are". They aren't old-school media, they are in fact "software", just the same as your PC.
The Achievements are all manner of thing. Some directly to doing rare thigns, some for completeness, some for kindness, some for silly things, some for funny things.
Its *all* kinds of things. They're like little roadsigns during your gameplay, and when you've gone through a game, you can look back and say "oh, i didnt do that, or Oh, i should try it this way".
This is about Entertainment not competition for everyone, sure, its fun to look at your bud...
So, Achievements arent your thing. Want a cookie? Videogames are about entertainment, and not everything appeals to everyone.
Why does ridiculous claims bother you? Yes, Sony sees MS's success with Achievements and is working furiously to copy them.
That shouldnt take away from you enjoying the feature.
These two (three) machines dont exist in a vacuum. Each takes what it can from the others. The question is who can do the most, the quickest.
