GTA4 was poor imo.
Overrated, graphics are nice with mods.
But that's all.

Uncharted 1,2,3 are all excellent. And the last of us is as well.
Remember the animations, textures etc.

1080p/AA Much higher quality textures, Smooth animations as usual, Higher quality models, shaders, lighting etc will get a nice bump in quality.
You know the scene on the ship in Uncharted 3 and the water in general, Physics based.

CPU is 102gflops
i5 2500k is 94+ gflops, i should know i own one.
But flops on a GPU does not tell the whole story.
A 6870 ati card is 2tflops, but the PS4 is much stronger.
PS4 GPU sits in between GTX 570 and slightly higher in some cases.
PS4 CPU is similar in gflops to a I5 2500K which does 94+
PS4 CPU does 102gflops.
There is plenty of power for sweet graphics and excellent anim and physics and with the high bandwidth throughput and all running maxed 1080p.
Very wise choices were made.
I thought i'd throw a few facts about, not just about ram.
For Instance PS4 CPU has a slightly higher gflops rating then the intel i5 2500k. And that is a decent processor, even today.
GPU in the PS4 is closely matched to a GTX 570.
In some ways it's faster, texture throughput is much higher on the PS4.

Yes starchild DX does not give developers as much access to hardware as they want. It may be backwards compatible with other versions which isn't always a good thing.
In any environment OPENGL is faster then DX even in windows.
As for my rant about PC, i own a decent one myself. But i'm not up my own arse about it.

If the xbone wants to run BF4 at the same level as the PS4, they are either going to have to lower the rez or drop assets.

I would actually like to know where the 7gb for games that everyone was throwing around came from.
I'd be surprised if and OS used that much ram. But it would depend on features, how easy it is to move about the OS, download in the background, play as downloading. That's where i think it would be going.
But for either Console 4.5gb and 5.5gb is plenty for gaming.
