Hardcore gamers don't sprout from nowhere. We all loved great games like Pacman and Space Invaders before we went on to love great games like Halo and Gears of War. The Wii is the entry point to the gaming industry which is much needed since gaming on the mature consoles might have become a bit too esoteric, exclusive or even self-indulgent. I mean seriously how many non-gamers will ever dig the convolution that MGS4 has to offer or the unwieldly controls of Killzone 2? Wii is accessible ...
I'm seriously wondering what it is that Sony fanboys are celebrating about for 2009. They declared 2008 to be the year of Sony and ended up only with MGS4, Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet. For 2009, I see Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 as confirmed. The biggest games for the 1st quarter are multiplats anyway too, except for Halo Wars and GTA IV DLC.

What's with this mag? How can they rate KZ2 better than RE5?? RE5 has greater graphics, gameplay, story and controls! Clearly another biased Sony mag, overly generous with scores for PS3 exclusives and overly critical of multiplats. Can't trust any of these reviewers imo.
It takes a while to get used to the run or gun mechanic, but I'm at least grateful that there's no lag when gunning.
They can if they buy a hdd. But I'm pretty sure there's no chance at all of getting this sweet DLC if you don't even own a 360 console.
This proposed solution does diminish the lag time. I'm starting to think the lag is bearable now.

I think this was the kind of score that some fans were hoping that PS3 megahypedtodeath exclusive White Knight Chronicles would get. Pity it fell far short. I guess Level 5 isn't > Square Enix and 360 is still home to the best JRPGs afterall.
What an irresponsibly misleading title. The study was based on PGR. So it should say PGR makes you want cars, not GT.

I agree with you actually. VF series is just so much better. I'm still playing it on 360 (of course). I'll propbably give Tekken 6 a miss since I also have Soulcalibur 4 and SFIV is coming up.
Playing complex fighters with any D-pad is just insane. You'll get a sore thumb in no time. Fighting stick is where the action is at.

Good choice Foxgod. I already got the VF5 fighting stick for the 360 (VF5 > Tekken imho, and VF5360 >>> VF5PS3 as a matter of fact), so I'm really thrilled about getting SFIV on the 360. I can't imagine ANY serious gamer using D-pad to play fighting games, but N4G isn't really a place you'd find too many serious gamers at 'cos...
Many people who have played the demo did not like the controls. I wonder why the reviews did not cover this issue more extensively as it appears to be a serious one.
My feeling is that RE5's graphics are superior to KZ2, and 360's ver of RE5 will be superior.
Controls > MGS4, graphics > KZ2. I think we have a winner here.
Played the demo. I'll have to say I'll pass on this. Don't like the QTE.
If you are serious about playing fighting games, get the fighting stick. It is miles better than any D-pad.
