Compared to it's peers, graphically this game looks like it's a bit behind on the environments. The tracks seem barren and lack fine detail. Texturing definitely looks like it's a step behind Forza 6 and PC.
Steambox was a perfect example of a product that virtually everyone knew was a bad idea going in, except for the manufacturer. Kind of like the Wii U.

I don't hate it. I'm just already sick of hearing about it. I played the beta, liked it for what it was, and I've moved on. Personally I think it's a solid "7.5/10" game, but that's all. All the 9.5's and perfect 10's it's been getting by critics are a little ridiculous I think, especially considering how light it is on content at a full 60.00 retail price. Why didn't it get blasted for lack of content the way SF5 did?

The X1 is already the cheaper console and it's not a big draw. Price is not the issue with X1. The issue is the market has spoken and nobody wants it (relatively speaking to the PS4).

I played the beta and I was just kind like "eh." I mean, it's well polished, it runs smooth, etc. But I don't think it's this monumentally amazing game and frankly I don't get the high scores. To me it's a solid 7.5 or 8. No way is this a 10 or a 9.

It's only logical. Polyphony always takes 3-4 years to create ONE new GT. How do you expect them to crank out two in a similar amount of time? Unless they're are planning on releasing GT7 in 2019 or 2020, GT Sport is it! I can't believe some people think there's going to be a separate GT7. GT Sport IS GT 7. GT is moving to a platform based format where more features/content are added over time and GT Sport is the start of that. There won't be a GT7 on shelves sitting next to GT Sport.
I bought it. It along with Street Fighter 5 have been my most regretted game purchases this generation.
That FIA backing doesn't save this game from looking like an up rez'd PS3 game. Besides, to most gamers that FIA backing is completely meaningless.
