you can play on the TV or on the pad. You can use the gamepad, you can use a wiimote and chuck, you can use the gamepad pro.
The only problem nintendo have is a major PR one, The WiiU is a decent machine with a brilliant pad and some fantastic excluives. Nintendo need to better communicate this.
Nintendo have already released a higher capacity battery for it which lasts about 8 hours.
I think they come as standard in all the new bundles too.

The wii kicked the ass of both the 360 and the ps3 in sales, they're still trying to play catch up now and nintendo don't even manufacture the console anymore.

I'd go further and say it was British, both the original star fox an star fox 64 were made by British devs. It wasn't until rare were sold off that it ceased being made in blighty and namco had a crack at it.
I was talking about the potential next entry in the series though, the guys at platinum have expressed more than a little interest in making it, and the flying sections in W101 are very similar.
dildicon knights did start a kikstater to make a spiritual sequel for the WiiU a few months back. Sadly it didn't get enough funding, so unless nintrndo approached them to make a proper sequel it looks like we wont be seeing one any time soon.
