This isn't the first time Sony had massive hardware issues with their consoles and they have lied before(saying there is no issue with PS2)

Sony rushed the PS3 to compete with MSFT forgetting about the leap year when the PS3 was finalized. People are saying the clock chip isn't a complex piece of hardware and can not be patched. PS3 has unstable system software to begin with.

Yes it did. I've been trying to sign to prove to *DEN_UK* I own a PS3 by sending him a friend invite so he can see me playing a game. At first I thought the problem was because I turned of my router and modem at the same time when the power strip was replaced with a Monster power station.
