Though I'm hoping that next gen will be far less of a compromise and that higher resolutions AND decent frame rates will be the focus.
Xbox is already talking about higher frame rates being a priority on Project Scarlett, I expect PlayStation will adopt the same approach with PS5.

I could be wrong, but the disagrees are almost certainly PlayStation users unhappy that the series is now releasing on the Xbox platform.
Personally I don't understand the logic behind this way of thinking. As a gamer - if I play a great game then I want other gamers to be able to enjoy it as well, regardless of which platform they prefer.
