COD4 isn't really old and we can definitively feel the draw back of modern games.

I don't agree, with medium/high graphics setting, Battlefield 3 needs more than 4 gig of ram to run smoothly. High detailed texture = more memory usage. BF3 on console is on par with the Lowest setting of the PC version, it still looks great.. but it's nothing astounding.
I rather pay 800 bucks on a machine that has 8gig ram then 600 on something with 2gig. That quantity was enough about 5 years ago.

I hope it's not coming soon, I want BF3 to last 2-3 years with numerous patch, dlcs and other add ons to keep it fresh. BC2 had no jets, prone, clostrophobic map, boring rush gameplay, tunneled design maps and AN-94 gun only mode. BF3 is the real sequel for the gamers. It even has some great graphics without needing an extraordinary computer to run it. BC2 wasn't bad, it just was more COD and less BF you know..

I have played DiabloII a while ago and aside the skill tree/atributes there wasn't much really. It was ages ago thou.. :)

I have read a couple of those reviews and yes a lot of them are basicaly raged reviews concerning the connections issues. However,some have entirely detailed why the game wasn't good.
I don't tink the game deserve a perfect 10, but I don't think it deserve a 0 either.
The complains about the game aside the connections are:
-Less skills
-Auction House
-No customisation
-Point and click gameplay
-No...
I love the gameplay of this game and it's animation. However, this third installment is very "light" on content. It's basically a compressed compilation of the first and second game and the main story can be done in 3 hours even if you watch all the cinematics. Great game, not worth 60$ in my opinion. NUNS2 had more bang for buck.
The new gameplay elements are nice and surely balance the characters. However the main story lacks any content other then cinematic. I would say it's still a nice game but at 60$ it lacks a bit of punch !
I'll be frankly honest and say that the animation from Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generation looks more fluid and eye candy.
I had immense fun with all the Call of duty, but it is imperative that they move on. The should do a COD:Online for 20$ you have all the MP maps from cod4 to now with all the weapons but with downgraded graphics and nothing such as levels and prestige. All on dedicated servers, this would make the ideal game for competition and high level players while the cod series should start slowing down and get more quality rather than quantity.

Alright so the truth be told. I have played maybe twice as much MW3 than Skyrim. Not because it's a more refined or better game, but because Skyrim need more "involvement" and can get redundant.
Skyrim needs a lot of devotion and you need to keep playing to make sure you don't lose focus of the multiple plots. The Graphics and gameplay are very well designed but after doing the main quest, dark brotherhood, thieves, companion and mage guild there is nothing ...
I am impressed that a game like this actually scores that high. Sure it's a bit rough on the edge and the author points out a problem or two but in the end he had a great impression. Gameplay wise, nothing new but it hold stills.
If you are a fan or have some kids this one should be a great addition !
PS: Makes me think of Transformers War For Cybertron, a real authentic feel for the people who loved the original series.

COD is by no mean the best game ever. The thing is it's one easiest game to take and play right away. It's a pure game by definition and it's package value is unmatched. It's extremely fast paced and you can change your play style a million way. This is why call of duty has become so popular over the years.

I have to disagree with you, nothing personal but quick-scoping as been defined since the first Call of Duty. It's been here and there since and Black Ops removed it to put a more "easy friendly game" without really taking the problems out of the equations.

Your decision of passing this game due to "low" graphical performance is astoundingly stupid. Like it's predecessor, Dark Souls was never meant to be a graphical benchmark but rather a pure violent exploration of an old genre. It's refreshing, disturbing, pure and immensely fun (By fun I mean redoing the same level 5 times because of the gargoyle bosses).
My girlfriend bought me this game for a gift. This is such a sad port it's actually frustrating. I'm going to play this game through because it comes from someone I love but f*** you Activision.
