No one at all is surprised there will be a sequel. The problem is Bungie/Activision f**cked up. At its core destiny is solid, but lacks any form of longevity in its current state.

No. Its not you, personally I think it's bad business *especially* considering the controvery surrounding the first. I mean the game hasn't even been out 4 months yet.
It's when developers do things like this that people call foul on DLC and removed content.

Ive played around 4 and a half hours or so on the ps4 version...havent run into any glitches yet, other than the occasional frame drop.
As long as they fix that I'm good to go.

The gameplay is solid, whether or not you enjoy the tried and true Assassins creed formula is another story entirely.
Im all for being objectively critical when it calls for it. However this score seems a bit off. Ive seen far worse reviewed better. Thats in no way me defending the shortcomings of this particular game...

Agree 100%. Until recently when it was re-released as War of the Lions, Tactics was one of the most underrated gems I had ever played.
While they werent exactly bad, Im glad to see Im not the only one who didnt care for FF8 and X. I like to pretend that XIII doesnt exist.
How was the junction system confusing? Back when I was a kid I found it pretty straight forward. However overall I personally didn't care too much for FF8. I felt like the game was extremely easy, the boost summoning got old after a while and I absolutely hated Squall.
Though admittedly I played FF8 years ago I might feel differently about it today. But of the Final Fantasy games of that era FF9 was my shit.
The only other game I just completely ignored reviews over was MAG back in the day.

I believe Destiny is a solid 8. But IMO it feels as though some reviewers felt a little jaded about how Activision/Bungie handled the review copies of the game.
A part of me wonders if a portion of the reviews were given out as a sort of retaliation, almost as if to say "Dont forget you still need us and dont think you can be successful without us."

Agreed. Ive had the game since launch and I'm at the moment Lv 25. There are a number of things I dont like about the game:
1) The story is pretty meh, even though Ive beaten I still really dont know what the hell is going on. But...meh.
2) The weapon selection uses sooooo many conventional weapons. Youd think for a game that takes place in the future at the pentacle of human technology youd have high tech alien weaponry. Not a just b...

As someone who exclusively own a PS4 and frequents this site. I would agree "some" of the points mentioned are valid. As stated early on in the article:
