Good lord!!! I lost it when I saw that trailer lol
Welp....
So long Konami... we hardly knew ye
Demon Souls...hands down
shhhh
Dont let them hear you say that.
Lol Capcom also wasn't very happy with the 5 million copies of Resident Evil 6 that sold.
Honestly DmC did about as well as any hack & slash from recent memory (especially in 2013). Bayonetta and MG-revengeance included.
I personally think they expect too much out of their games.
Id be surprised if DMC4:SE does much better. But we shall soon see
@Revolver _X_
lol I like to imagine that Vivi is the true main character of FFIX.
Last I checked DmC has sold somewhere around 1.6 million life time....

This is about in line with most other games in the franchise. So I wouldn't exactly say it sold horribly
OMG tactics! I just wish they would make a sequel someday. A real sequel none of that advanced non-sense.
IMHO, 7 was definitely overrated I just didn't think 8 was the better of the two games.
6 and 9 on the other hand...
I actually liked most of the gameplay mechanics....the story though.
I just never seemed to get into it or FFVIII's characters.
For some reason FFVIII has always remained as one of my least favorite in the series. I still liked it more than X though.
I loved 9...but didnt care too much for 8 myself.
The combat was cool and all. But even the combat wouldn't let me stomach the insane amount backtracking and recyled bosses, the story (or lack their of). And your damn right Thanatos I will not understand its cool "because you can teleport".
And I guess that's what I was getting to...everyday I see people come down on games for much less than recycled gameplay and bad writing. But to see DMC4 put on such a pedestal simply blows my mind. The DMC3 hype I und...
@kwietStorm
Sigh* I was just going to say something very similar to this.
I honestly do not understand what in people's eyes makes DMC4 such a great game, especially one to get so excited for.
Does it have cool combat? Sure...even though it's kind of copy pasted from DMC3. Other than that what makes DMC4 (specifically talking about 4) such a good game to have fond memories of? Serious question to anyone that wants to answer
"DMC 4 was better then dmc despite DMC 4 being an average game"
DMC4 was flat out bad. Average is not running down the same hallways backtracking and literally fighting the same bosses over and over. The game was lazily developed, not to mention its incredibly blah story that contributes absolutely nothing to the franchise.
To me next to DMC2, DMC4 was one of the biggest let-downs in the series. There's hardly anything positive I can say about i...
I personally wouldn't call inquisition one of the best games ever made... It's still a good game mind you,it just has a few glaring flaws.
The AI (enemies and playable teammates) is horrendous. There have been so many times that I've screamed at the screen because one of my mages or rouges ran into melee range of an enemy. The tactical camera isn't very well thought out either. I also feel like the story is the easiest of all in the series. It's not bad, ...
@Baka
Ill agree with you DmC had its shortcomings. Some of the boss fights were poor especially the final one and some of the dialogue was cringe worthy. But I feel that while combat wasn't as refined as DMC4 overall it was a good game (perhaps not the game most wanted.)
But for me DMC4 left such a bad taste in my mouth back when it first came out. Everything from Nero and the unanswered questions about him, the lack of variety, to literally back tracking...
Glad to see Im not the only one that feels this way.
Not to excuse what Capcom is doing. But I feel as though this pretty much shows that they are already working on a sequel to the DMC franchise. Many before felt that the sales from DmC were so bad that we would never see another in the franchise.
Cheap cash in? Probably. But I feel like its a good sign.
@MasterCornholio
The combat in DMC4 is pretty damn awesome.
Mostly everything else on the other hand...
Considering the originals story was a little... off at times. I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing.
