A good game doesn't automatically equate to good sales. Look at vanquish.
DmC is an awesome game, but not without its flaws of course. To be completely honest I don't see capcom canceling the entire series over this in fact Im willing to bet DmC2 will still be made. However it remains to be seen whether or not NT will be a part of it. However i think what will happen if a sequel is done is Capcom will probably address many of the complaints about the current DmC such as difficulty, lock on and a flashier Dante.

It's all about perspective, personally while I liked. DMC3 I never thought it was the best in series. IMO the original was, and that's were I think the division comes in. Most people that I know of that really enjoyed the original DMC also enjoyed DmC quite a bit. Because. It's closest to DMC in terms of atmosphere and game play. So for those that enjoyed the crazy super over the top frantic game play from the third and fourth installments might have issue...

DmC may be easier than some of the other DMC titles and that's true, but I definitely Dont think its as easy as some people claim. Admittedly now with ALL my weapon unlocks I can absolutely wreck most enemies on DMD mode....but after watching a few of my friends play through it, I certainly wouldn't call the game easy.
I am actually very surprised about Ni No kuni. I knew it would be a good game I think we all did. But, Im surprised at how long its been sitting at number one on amazon and other places. I hope it does sell well though, because JRPGs need it

This is pretty much how I feel about the game. To me DMC4 was probably just as bad as DMC2 I absolutely hated pretty much everything about it and it was probably one of the laziest developed games of this generation. Yet it got glowing reviews and sold the most in the franchise. The fact that DmC may have sold less than DMC4 means absolutely shit to me. It's still the better game. They didn't claim all negative reviews were troll reviews. They said any online review released before the embargo which was the 14th btw was a "fake" review because they hadn't received an actual copy of the game yet.

I think the cancels were implemented fine. The game just needs a bit more variety as its mostly similar to the original DMC without styles being included in the game.
But this is an example of someone whos pretty beast at DmC.

When it comes down to it, I don't think it's that pros don't understand the viewpoint of those that have legitimate concerns.It's the fact that there are those against the game that are a lot less rational and venomous. Like Tameem is a douche 100 percent, but my God you should go see the man's Twitter feed. You can find everything from disgusting racism, harassment and death threats on a day by day basis.

DmC has a different developer, different story. Its kind of its own thing separate from the regular DMC universe (hence why capcom streesed it was an alternate universe) taking all that in consideration Id say for the most part the game deserves the scores its received. Its a good game but it's not perfect.
