I keep seeing all these "p4g is the best rpg of this gen comments" just curious but what was different about this version versus the original? I played it some years back.
Lol I never see much love for P3 (my personal all time favorite) p4 was still fearsome in its own right but...I don't know maybe it was just me but it felt so lighthearted To me especially compared to any of the others.

It IS really good lol. If the idea of having a paid subscription doesn't turn your stomach you should give it a shot, the beta is awesome
Lol I personally thought Mr Lionheart was a bit more emo and moody than Cloud back in the day.
Also I agree with a comment from up top, the Advent children costume would have looked much better on Lightning.

Your right gw2 is a pretty good mmo, however I also think that it's proof that f2p doesnt work out so well. For example for all the talk the devs like J Peters spew about how badly they want gw2 to grow and succeed as an esport title. Gw2 is one of THE most unbalanced mmos ive ever played (ask anyone whos played any class other than thief or mesmer....hello my sad sad little necromancer) they make such small small tweaks every month. Been playing the beta for a few weeks now....and I reeeeally want to try out this arcanist class. Other than that can't wait till August.
You forgot to add deus ex, demon souls, mass effect, Diablo, the tales series(for the most part) and the witcher. All great game series and great RPGs.
I for one can't wait for FFXV (been waiting for a long long time) but to think the game will be any less of an RPG or less of a FF game because its an ARPG sounds a bit ridiclous. Sure it might not be "traditional" but I have the feeling the game will be EPIC. God knows they've spent enough time on it lol.
I agree. I've put more hours into ff12 than any of the others in the series. I thought the game was brilliant.

I wouldn't exactly call x-2 an "abomination" outside of the story it was actually pretty fun. I would Say over all it was "ok".
FFii was good despite its weak story.
And XIII was bad not "ok"
FFXIII-2 was much better than its predecessor.

No. Just no. Square makes one bad final fantasy game in the main series and all of a sudden the franchise is in decline? FFX wasnt exactly a bed of roses either (it wasn't as bad as XIII, but it had its moments)
So after beating this game twice now then reading this article, I'd actually have to say that this particular guy does make some valid points on some things (I don't care what ANYONE says, Last of Us is a really good game but not perfect). However last of us is not "mediocre" it actually plays very well IMO and at times gets your heart racing quite a bit. I also felt that the story was probably one of the strongest aspects in the game.
Agreed. Before I beat the game you wouldn't even catch me here in the comments. Especially after an incident with Heavy Rain I learned my lesson.
Dragons crown wasn't really on my radar before. But I will definitely be checking it out on release. I kind of dig vanilla ware

So I literally just finished it last night (haven't touched mp yet) but I can honestly say that the first few hours of the game did feel a bit.....I dont know dry? But after a certain point things really picked up. So other than some glitches I found the game to be pretty good. But I kind of get why you'd say an 8.5, still a good game of course.

I kind of get what your saying about P3 being really dark. Especially the race against the calendar part. But I dont know I never felt any that dark/persona atmosphere while playing P4. It was definitely there in Catherine (another awesome game btw) Lol I mean I beat P4 a while back ( in 08?maybe?) but even once everything was revealed it felt kind of....out of place for a persona game maybe?
