doesn't matter AT ALL what garbage CoD throws against the wall to see what sticks, IGN already has a score of 9 lined up and waiting (like they did with the worst CoD in history MW3) on release, and then 4 months later, everyone will hate it, talk about it much IW sucks, and go back to the previous CoD.... the "CoD nerd" cycle... we see it every year..
that's exactly what it is... damage control... think about it.. There's a reason theyre going to show the big "MP reveal" before Gamescom. The same reason they showed the big SP reveal before E3, they knew it would be lackluster, and they wanted to try to hold as much attention as they could for the short e they could. They had to get it out there before the big competitors (BF, Titanfall) showed what they had.
maybe not the entire industry, but a hell of alot of them. Especially in the FPS genre... CoD is actually really behind the times.. it's pretty much only surviving now by 12yr old nerd whiny fanboys and 30yr money grabbin Youtubers, that will hate and gripe about the game 5 months after release, but continue to post it anyway for the views.
dedicated servers or GTFO!!! seriously... sure it will sell more.. it's easy and a brain dead monkey can play it with no problem.. but with BF4 running @ 60FPS and have more people to kill, it's lead will not what it's been in the past. plus battlefield has always been the better all out war experience.. but we all know CoD has that 1 major ACE of spade card up their sleeves, their fanboy reviewers @ IGN and KOTAKU, etc. So they really have nothing to worry about.
this is coming from a HUGE BF fanboy, but they REALLY need to stop showing these stupid grey PRE ALPHA videos... they dont do the game justice... and give CoD fangirls reason to think their inferior franchise actually is superior...
yeah.. this article was pretty stupid.. after 2 years, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS still play this game every year... BF4 will be great and pull alot of CoD players over to it..
we all know BF craps ALL OVER CoD in terms a gameplay, technology and innovation year after year... but they need to show footage where the color pallettes are actually added... this PRE-APLHA footage is nowhere near what the game will look like come October when the colors are actually addded..
