When a company doesn't reveal certain info, it usually means they don't think it will go over too well. I'm betting that it's going to cost more than what we're used to from Nintendo(like $350ish) and it's only going to be marginally better than current gen hardware.
They've effectively ruined smoke screen. You can't do anything in 1 second. You can't even get out of the way in 1 second. What a stupid "fix".
Exactly right about the Diablo 3 comparison. I was thinking the same thing. Why would anybody go for something like this when there's been such a backlash with Diablo?
I'm sure people will be slowly programmed to accept it though, since people are sheep.
It'll be at least 20 years before this type of service ever becomes the norm. There's simply not enough broadband in the US. The broadband we do have sucks. It extremely slow and has ridiculous data caps.
Data caps are only going to get worse too.
This is the first Diablo game I've played and I love it. Yes, it sucked at launch due to the stupid DRM crap requiring you to be online but it's gotten better. There is still occasional lag but it's nothing major and I'm sure it will get better. Blizzard deserves to get ridiculed for having such a system but if you look past the DRM, you'll find a game that is VERY fun and has lots of replay value. The story was pretty good too.
Right now it seems like...
If they were really sorry they'd get rid of the requirement of an online connection to play single player.
Sony's almost blown it with Move. If they really wanted this peripheral to succeed they would have had tons of patches and made sure most of the big-name games supported it. COD, BF3, and Skyrim all should have been patched for the Move or supported from the start. Every big FPS that comes out should support Move. They could have partnered with Blizzard to bring Diablo 3 to the PS3. The Move would have worked well with that game.
Sony's missed their opportuniti...
While I agree most pirates do it simply because they get the games for free, you might want to rethink your statement about stealing as a form of justice.
I guess according to you, The Boston Tea Party was wrong and they should have voiced their opinions in another way? It's not as black and white as people make it out to be.
While I agree that giving games that low of a score is stupid, people have a legitimate gripe with this game. Blizzard/Activision shouldn't have required people to be logged into their servers just to play the single player game. There are a ton of reasons not to do this but they did it anyways as their way of implementing a form of DRM. So yet again, people that buy the game are screwed over.
Blizzard shouldn't have done it this way and they SHOULD be called out o...
If Valve is waiting for the new consoles to release HL3, then I'm going to lose a TON of respect for them. They've always been a PC developer and have always treated the PC crowd with the proper respect they deserve. To delay a game for a console would be a slap in the face to the PC crowd.
That being said, I don't believe for one second that Valve is delaying the game for the consoles. It's just the way Valve works. They take forever for everything they d...
To be disappointed would mean there was initially some excitement or anticipation. I've had zero expectations for this title ever since I saw how lame the last one was. I don't expect this one to be any better.
They should have used apathetic instead. That would describe how I feel about it.
I want one.
It'll give me something to play till Diablo 3.
ISP's are all going to start putting smaller and smaller caps soon so you're forced to A.)pay more for your internet, and B.)Prevent you from dropping cable/sat TV service in favor of free/low cost services like Hulu, Roku, Netflix, AppleTV, etc.
If I didn't like sports so much, I'd drop my satellite service and just go with something like Roku, Hulu, Netflix, and HBO Go. I could get all that for MUCH cheaper than sat/cable but it just doesn't have any w...
Diablo 3 doesn't require many keys for the spells/attacks. I played the beta. They've made it so there are only like 7 buttons needed. The Move/nav controller has more than that. You had the two mouse buttons, the 5 number keys and then maybe a couple others like shift, tab, etc that weren't really essential but could be placed on the other buttons.
It's really not a big deal to me. I play on PC. I don't even have the Move. I just think if they'...
This would be a perfect game for the Move. Sony should have reached some agreement with Blizzard to make it exclusive on consoles- or at the very least, time exclusive- and used it to promote the use of the Move.
I agree that I don't care if it comes to a console as long as it doesn't hinder the PC version, but when has a game that came to consoles NOT hindered the PC version? They always bork something on the PC version because they have to make it work on the console versions as well. That' most likely the reason you can only play with 4 other people. I'm sure we'll find some other features in the game that were changed on the PC version because they're making it on consol...
Active camo or not, they are clearly visible. Maybe not as much without it, but you can still easily see them. It's nowhere near as good as the Predator's in the movies and you could still see him when he got close enough.
I said "to me", didn't I?
It's called an opinion. In my opinion, he spent most of his time walking around doing nothing. It's EXTREMELY passive.
To top it off, he walks in clear sight of them and they don't notice? They have camo but it's not that good. You can clearly see them. Oh, and then there's the sound of your silenced weapon. They would have heard that too. Silenced guns aren't silent. Oh, and don't ...
I really find it shortsighted when game creators make games set in the future that still use powder based guns. I promise you, guns thousands (even within a century) of years in the future will not use an explosive based powder. I just don't get it. Be creative.
